Taco Bell has informed customers that they may not be able to find their favorite dishes at some locations because of the nationwide supply shortages. The company said that it running out of some ingredients and this may force it to change menu options. Informing about the situation on its website, the California-headquartered company said that it may be soon out of some items. “Sorry if we won’t be able to feed your current craving. This is because of the shortages of ingredients owing to global supply chain disruptions,” the company said in a message on its website. However, it is not clear which specific ingredients the company is running out of. Yum Brands owns Taco Bell

It is also not clear how widespread the issue is and at how many locations customers will have to face such a situation. A company spokesperson who was reached for more details refused to share any details about the shortage. But the spokesperson said that the national transportation delays have hit almost every industry. “We want all the demands of our customers to be fulfilled for as long as possible,” the spokesperson said. Global supply chain disruptions have hit several industries and Taco Bell is apparently the latest restaurant chain to fall victim to that.

There are several restaurant chain owners that have limited some items because of the supply shortage. Among the prominent names is Starbucks that has already apologized for running out of certain items. Similarly, Chick-fil-A has decided to limit the number of sauces it is giving to customers. Yum Brands chief executive officer David Gibbs said in April that supply chain issues have been a cause of concern for its sister restaurant KFC. According to Gibbs, KFC was finding it difficult to fulfill the demand for its new chicken sandwich. Pandemic safety measures along with the increase in demand for these products have resulted in a shortage of certain ingredients, as results restaurants have started to warn customers about any fallout.
