Ikea is one of the largest food providers and is famous for its Swedish meatballs. There’s a huge demand for its meatball and one should not be surprised to see people making a beeline to order the meatball. The unmistakable scent of meatball is enough to make you drool. Now, Swedish meatball lovers can get the same feeling in the comfort of their homes. This is because the company has launched a new limited-edition Huvudroll meatball scented candle. Ikea will give these candles to customers during the 10th anniversary of the loyalty program.

The candle, along with a collection of unknown items, will be part of the company’s Store in Box. The other items that would be in the box have not been revealed. However, it is pretty much sure that they would represent the Ikea store experience too. Those customers who are part of the Ikea family will get special deals up to August 22. During this period, they can be part of a giveaway and even get lucky to win the Store in a Box. The company feels that giving these scented candles would entice more customers to sign up for a loyalty card. Under the loyalty program, Ikea offers its members rewards and some other perks. It must be noted that Ikea’s meatballs have been a hit since 1985. The company has been selling more than 1 billion meatballs every year.

Ikea said that it is planning to gift the limited edition Huvudroll meatball candles to around 1,925 lucky winners. Earlier during the coronavirus pandemic, when stores were closed during the lockdown, the company had shared the recipe of its extremely popular meatball recipe with customers so that they continue to relish it home. “Staying at home can be difficult for those who love meatball. We want to make the lives of everyone a little bit easier. Bon appétit or, smaklig måltid, as we say in Sweden!” Ikea had said. Meanwhile, the company has introduced a plant-based alternative to meatballs. The company said that the ‘plant ball’ tastes exactly like a meatball and is made with pea protein, oats, potatoes, apple, and onion. Ikea said that the plant ball is proof that those who are not meat lovers too can relish the amazing taste of meatball.
