Valve’s Steam VR feature is working just fine with other VR headset users. With its own Steam VR version working correctly, everyone expected the company to launch its VR headset in the market. Now the headset launch is official as the company has released the launch Month of the device. The Valve Index, the new VR headset from Valve is coming in May 2019 and will be one of the biggest product launches of the year. According to the rumours from last month, the company expected to launch this and the buzz has turned right.

Valve has pretty decent experience in Virtual reality industry as they’ve launched the Steam VR and also helped HTC to launch the Vive series headsets in 2016. From that time, Valve was working on the project, and now we can see it hitting the markets very soon. In the teaser image for the launch, we can see the “May 2019” on the poster and “Valve INDEX” written on the top front of the VR headset. Besides this poster, the company has not shared any other information about the same. The hardware specifications were leaked back in November Last year, and the image matches the specifications. Also, the leaks suggested the device might come with 135-degrees FOV, which is way higher than the commonly found FOV in Oculus Rift and HTC vive.

Valve has opened a new website for the launch of the VR headset. The site hosts the Teaser image with words “May 2019” and nothing else. As the company has set up a new website for this product, they might reveal more information in the coming days about this product and the launch event. Also, the site doesn’t mention any of the VR based games that Gabe Newell showed off to the public from the last few years.
