Pinterest, which is one of the leading social media platforms, is trying to help its users. Since its start the photo search engine platform Pinterest has grown a lot, and that shows how much people love to spend their time on Pinterest. However, in a recent press release, the tech company said that they are going to make some necessary changes for creating a more user-friendly platform. The Pinterest search box will now show specific help if users are searching for something related to problems.

Even though the users do not use a search engine that much, but since Pinterest has more than 250 million users, this would help them. The search query is going to work based on user’s intention like, for example; a user has searched about suicide or depression-related terms on Pinterest. Then, in that case, the user would be able to get help from Pinterest directly. The search result is already showing such types of results after a recent update.

Whenever you search the term “suicide”, you will see a web page which will say “let us help you” by giving help centres contact number. Company’s executives think this new update would change the platform for better. It would be hard for Pinterest to make these changes, but such things are going to help many people. Pinterest key officials were trying to make the platform different from a typical social media website. Now, these changes are going to help those people who seek mental help on social media platforms. Social media is one of the leading reasons behind depression or anxiety by the centres for disease control and prevention. Pinterest is trying to make a change and that too for a good cause which will increase its user base.
