Google is now adding the Dark Mode in every app they own. In the latest update, Google Pay app received the full Dark mode integration. Once Google releases Android 10 with Full Dark Mode support, all of the apps made by Google will have the Dark mode option. Latest update with version 2.96.264233179 of Google Pay App will have full dark mode support with Android 10 and also the Dark Mode support when the user enables the Battery mode. As Apple has already done the Dark Mode integration with iOS and macOS, Google is getting ready to introduce the same in its latest operating system.

Technically speaking, the new introduction is not a dark mode, but the dark grey coloured theme for the app. Google Pay had the white theme which is not good for your eyes when seen in the dark environment. To save the eyes and also the battery consumption, Google introduced the Dark Mode or Dark Theme for the app. The devices with AMOLED Display will notice a significant reduction in battery usage once enabled the Dark theme for Google Pay app.

Google developers were already testing the Dark Theme or Dark mode in previous updates of the app. Some of the testers found the dark payment processing page while using the app, but the subsequent update removed the dark screen from the app. With the clutter-less menu and soothing dark theme, the app looks pretty good now. As of now, Google is rolling out the update via Google Play Store in eligible countries. As the rolling out is in progress, not everyone has received the update notification. Not just Google Pay, but we are expected to see a lot more Google Apps for Android to receive the Dark mode support ahead of the official launch of Android 10 Operating system.
