During an Address made to the students, WhatsApp Co-Founder Brian Acton accused Mark Zuckerberg of Selling privacy for revenue and urged the students to delete “Facebook” app. Brian Acton is now leading a non-profit organization Rival Signal, that arranged a pep talk with the students. After leaving the WhatsApp as Facebook has bought it from the founders, the vision of Brian Acton and Mark Zuckerberg collided, and Mr. Acton left the company. By allowing ads on the Platform, Mark Zuckerberg is trading privacy in return of Revenue, accused Brian Acton.

Mr. Acton said he is furious after multiple privacy scandals like Cambridge Analytica were revealed and questioned the privacy of Facebook family service users. As the company is trading the private data of the users for money, he urged the students to uninstall the Facebook app and other apps that are owned by Facebook. Mr. Acton is vocal about the breach of privacy and companies trading private data for the sake of earning money. He is very vocal about Facebook and Google for their practices of making cash by showing targetted ads on the platform.

This is the second time Brian Acton has criticised Facebook for privacy issues. The first time he accused Facebook and urged the people to Delete facebook from their smartphones. Last time, the Cambridge analytical accessed the data of nearly 87 million Facebook users including private information about their location and others. Facebook is currently not famous as the biggest social media website in the world, but with the most prominent company with tons of lawsuits in the world. Now, the company facing tons of trials in the United States Courts and other courts worldwide for malicious practices and not protecting the privacy of its users. Due to the approach of Facebook towards protecting the privacy of the users triggered Brian Acton to urge students to Delete the Facebook app from smartphones.
