The quick shipping service of Amazon is going through major postpones as it deals with a flood of orders nationwide. Reportedly, Amazon Prime is taking as much as a month to deliver some products that generally arrive in two days. Indeed the ongoing coronavirus pandemic has slammed the e-commerce giant. Apart from this, some Prime customers have reported receiving estimated delivery dates as far as 21st April 2020. Products like computer cables, blenders, or best-selling books would not be deployed to customers until 21st April, even if ordered on Monday. Even more, other items have revealed a smaller delivery estimate that lies around five days. Still, the given time is more than regular sipping days for Prime ship items, i.e., 1-2 days.

As per an Amazon representative, they have changed their transportation, logistics, purchasing, and supply chain to serve customers better. Even more, the retail giant has also focused on the safety of its allies. Amazon has taken the effort in order to prioritize stocking and deploy products that are highly important for its customers. The representative noted this is why some of their deliveries are taking more time than usual. Well, the delays are replicating the company’s struggle to continue its offerings during a global coronavirus outbreak, which has required many people to start ordering daily need items online. Meanwhile, people are opting to Amazon Prime to assist in delivering packages to their homes.

Amazon has recently announced that it would start ranking the deployment of essential items. In the previous week, the company has announced its warehouses to start stocking only necessary products through 5th April. It seems like; the company wants to make sure that it can fulfill more than usual orders. Amazon said they believe the role of attending customers and the people in such circumstances is a crucial one. Besides, the company aims to ensure that every customer can receive the items they require, whenever essential.
